ATD NYC: What You Need to Know – June 26, 2019

By-laws Update

The 2019 Board has finished revising the by-laws and they are being reviewed by ATD National. The Chapter will be able to vote on the proposed changes soon.

2020 Board Elections

Once the by-laws voting is completed, we will be opening the nomination process for the 2020 Board. The results of the by-laws vote will determine how we move forward. You can learn more about Board roles (as they currently exist) here: 2019 Board of Directors Information. If you are interested in a 2020 Board role, email contact@atdnyc.org or talk with any Board member.

Our goal is to have the new Board identified/ratified by the end of September so that they have the opportunity to attend the Chapter Leaders Conference in mid-October.  The new Board would not take office until January 1, 2020.

Chapter Volunteer Opportunities

There are several Associate Vice President (AVP) and other roles available. If you are interested and want to learn more about these opportunities, visit the Volunteer section of our website or contact rosemary.okoiti@atdnyc.org.

Meeting Space Assistance

We are asking for your help in identify meeting space for our Chapter events, SIG events, or workshops. As a non-profit, we rely on our members to help. Talk to any Board member or email contact@atdnyc.org if you have available space or have suggestions for us to pursue.

Happy Independence Day!
