Leaders Bring the Weather
Exploring the hidden impact leaders have on teams
Every leader creates an experience for the people around them.
Through their words, actions, decisions, and presence, leaders shape how people experience work each day. They influence how teams respond to challenges, collaborate with one another, navigate uncertainty, and perform together. Most leaders recognize the impact of their decisions. Far fewer recognize how their day-to-day behaviors shape the experience of those around them. Often, there is a gap between the impact leaders intend to have and the reality of how others actually experience them.
Why? Because leaders bring the weather.
This session explores how leadership influence extends beyond strategy, direction, and decision-making to shape the environment people work within every day. Together, we'll examine the conditions leaders create, how that influence spreads through teams and organizations, and what it takes to become more intentional about the weather we bring.
During this 60-minute session, we’ll explore:
- How leaders create the conditions that shape team culture, engagement, and performance
- Why there is often a gap between a leader's intended impact and the impact others actually experience
- How leadership behaviors influence trust, accountability, collaboration, and resilience
- What helps teams remain connected, focused, and effective during periods of change and uncertainty
- Practical ways to become more intentional about the weather you bring and the experience you create for others
Who This Session Is For
This session is for leaders and talent development professionals who are guiding teams through uncertainty, change, and increasing complexity inside organizations. It’s especially relevant for those trying to maintain trust, alignment, and connection during stressful or fast-moving seasons.
It will also be valuable for coaches and consultants supporting leaders and teams navigating pressure and seeking healthier, more grounded ways to lead through it.
