About The Event: 

ATD NYC People Analytics SIG invites ATD NYC members and non members to attend a roundtable discussion about people analytics and its role in the learning and talent management function. The panelists come from a variety of backgrounds and will discuss best practices in using data in the training function.


About Our Panelists:

Sy Islam, PhD. | Co-Founder & Vice President of Consulting, Talent Metrics

Sy Islam, PhD. is a co-founder and Vice President of Consulting with Talent Metrics Dr. Islam has over 15 years of experience providing data analytic, training, and organizational development support to organizations in a variety of workplace settings.Dr. Islam’s consulting work was recognized by the Society for Industrial-Organizational Psychology when he won the Scientist-Practitioner Presidential Recognition Award for his focus on science driven practices in training and talent development. Through Talent Metrics he has consulted with fortune 100 companies like Prudential and teams like the Florida Panthers. Dr Islam has also served in leadership roles with ATD NYC and ATD Long Island. 


Carolyn Broderick | Senior HR Analyst, Mount Sinai Hospital

Carolyn Broderick is a Senior HR Analyst at Mount Sinai Hospital with responsibilities for HR data management, reporting and analytics. Carolyn recently held the position of senior consultant with DeFoe Associates, a consulting firm that implements and optimizes HR technology, where she was responsible for process improvement and data analytics. Previously, Carolyn was manager, strategic data within Prudential Financial’s Corporate Diversity and Inclusion office where she was responsible for database management and data analysis functions, systems implementation, system upgrades, technical consultation, website design and regulatory reporting. Carolyn has significant experience in all types of technology, social media and website design. Carolyn holds a certificate in Labor Relations from Rutgers. She earned a BA in English from Kean University, an MA in Liberal Studies from Monmouth University and holds the SPHR designation from the Human Resource Certification Institute and the SHRM-SCP designation from the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). In addition, Carolyn has an HRIP designation from IHRIM (International Association of HR Information Management). Carolyn was a member of the National SHRM HR Technology Expertise Panel from 2011-2015. She was also the IT director for the Garden State Council HR Conference from 2011 to 2014. 


Richard Rosenow | Vice President of People Analytics Strategy, One Model

Richard Rosenow is an experienced practitioner in the field of people analytics. He is passionate about teaching others about people analytics, lowering the barrier to entry for HR professionals, designing and building organizations, and setting up HR data foundations. In his current role as Vice President of People Analytics Strategy at One Model, Richard focuses on building connections between ideas, developing communities, and creating content that supports HR and People Analytics leaders. He is also actively involved in the People Analytics community, attending and promoting meetups and sharing his insights on LinkedIn. 


Disha Rupayana, PhD. | Senior People Analytics, CVS

Disha Rupayana, PhD. is a Senior People Analytics Manager at CVS. She received her PhD in I-O psychology from Kansas State in 2010 and has served in people analytics roles at Mursion and Skillsurvey. Disha is an accomplished researcher and has published research in the International Journal of Selection and Assessment and Personnel Assessment and Decisions. She has spoken at the Society for Industrial Organizational Psychology conference.
