Many treat Leadership Development as a philosophy, while many others treat it as a program (or set of programs). The United States Marine Corps treats Leadership neither as a philoshopy or a program, rather a framework to be applied by all Marines at all levels.
With Leadership Skills consistently ranking near the top in critical skills for organizational success (Statista), and now with the added complexity from an increased demand in remote leadership skills, we turn our focus to become razor focused on the skills we need to develop in the leaders of tomorrow.
Event Description:
For this month's live virtual Chapter Event, we have an open discussion with Andrew Wittman, Ph.D, about the areas we can focus on to improve not only leadership qualities, but also the now critical remote leadership skills for our respective workforces.
What you will learn:
Dr. Wittman will chat with us about a few key common traits in leadership development from the institutions which specialize in building leaders. Some of the critical points we will cover are
- How to see if someone actually became a better leader after 'training'
- Essential methods to develop leaders beyond trainings, workshops, and bootcamps
- Why better eLearning or more workshops are not the answer to cultivating more leaders in your organization . . . and what is!
About our speaker:

As a security contractor for the State Department, he taught high-threat diplomatic security to former Navy SEALS, Marines, Rangers, and Special Forces.
