DESCRIPTION: Do you have trouble finding free stock images for your eLearning? Take matters into your own hands--and have fun doing it! In this hands-on session, we'll review examples of the power of using visual metaphors in eLearning. We'll also explore basic photography principles like "the rule of threes" and "positive and negative space" as well as colors and filters, and learn how easily you can create your own compelling visual metaphors using just your smartphone. No prior experience in photography needed; just bring your smartphone and be ready to play! While you can always participate virtually in the eLearning SIG sessions, we encourage in-person attendance for this session.
NOTE: We will be holding a related photo scavenger hunt event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on 10/18--so this session will prepare you to take awesome photos on that outing!
