Whether you're networking, interviewing or promoting your brand in your current role, it is important to effectively showcase your talents and leave a powerful impression regarding what you have to offer. You want to focus your listeners on what you do and how you do it. The easiest way to do that is to tell them a memorable story.
Join career coach, Win Sheffield, to learn how to pick and deliver stories that will convey the message of your value in a compelling way in a variety of work situations. Topics covered include:
- Identify good stories to tell: What Hollywood can teach us about telling our story
- Isolate the messages you want to deliver
- Learn techniques to deliver your message with clarity and purpose
This is an interactive workshop during which you will identify and share an accomplishment story, and get feedback on how to make it stronger.
Optionally, you may listen to 5-minute podcasts on telling stories at www.bit.ly/TPOY-Stories before the session. Key elements of these podcasts will be reviewed during the session.

In his coaching practice, Win Sheffield shows clients how to execute an effective job campaign instead of an unnecessarily painful job search, wandering from ad to ad. With Win, clients focus strategically, effectively allocating time in their busy lives, learning how to articulate themselves on the job and in the job market, conveying their experience in ways that attract interest and lead to further referrals.
Win holds an M.B.A. from Boston University, an undergraduate degree from Kenyon College, is certified as a career coach through the Five O'Clock Club, and has studied Myers-Briggs and counseling. Since 2003 Win has been bringing his career in strategy development and implementation at Citibank, J.P. Morgan and PricewaterhouseCoopers and his own transitions to his work with clients.
