DESCRIPTION: People keep asking about our 2015 hands-on workshop for No-Budget Gamification, because they had so much fun--and learned so much. By popular demand, we're bringing it back for another round! If you still haven't explored ways to add elements of gamification to enhance your eLearning, or if you want to try out some new ideas, this session is for you.
SIMPLE PRE-WORK: Just a couple of slides! Use the simple, 1-slide Worksheet provided in the downloadable PowerPoint file to analyze one teaching topic you're working with now. It will help you explore who your target audience is, what you want them to learn, and how you might leverage simple elements of gamification to bring your content alive for your learners. Even if you've never tried any kind of gamification before, you'll find easy, basic concepts and a detailed example in this PowerPoint file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1s6cXzSgaG4K42MSJByh3Wp6o6jZL7yNq/view?usp=sharing
Please send your two slides (worksheet and your idea/example) to andrewsellon@gmail.com no later than Tuesday, 9/18 at 5pm. I'll collate the slides, and session attendees will receive the updated PPT deck after the session. If you don't have time to prepare a couple of slides, just bring along a topic you're struggling to make interesting. The more contributed slides/ideas we have, the more rewarding the session will be!
