We currently have monthly face-to-face and virtual groups in session. We are not accepting further applications for these groups at this time. Please register your interest for any future groups with the Director of the Coaching Center of Excellence, Angela Wright at angela.wright@atdnyc.org.
As part of ATD NYC’s desire to be a leader in our industry, in 2017 we launched a Peer Coaching Supervision Group (PCSG) for experienced executive coaches. Due to the success of the PCSG, we will be launching a separate Group Coaching Supervision Program (GCSP) for those with less direct coaching experience. The GCSP will provide members with the opportunity to participate in Group Supervision facilitated by Angela Wright.
The GCSP is aimed at either:
ATD NYC is committed to advancing excellence in the practice of coaching and recognizes that Coaching Supervision not only makes an important contribution to the professional development and quality assurance of coaches, but also in maintaining the integrity of the coaching industry.
The purpose of the ATD NYC's GCSP will be twofold, to provide:
How will it work?
A Coach will bring his or her coaching cases and experiences to the GCSP in order to engage in reflective dialogue and collaborative learning. The GCSP will offer a confidential space in which the practice, tasks, process and challenges of a coach’s work may be explored.
Why Group Supervision & why now?
Over the last two decades the use of coaching as a means of enhancing performance and development in organizations has increased substantially. This trend shows no sign of slowing down. Rather, the use of external and internal coaches is set to grow significantly.
While professional supervision has long been a necessity in professions such psychotherapy, it has only recently begun to find a place in the field of coaching. However, this is changing and changing fast.
Coaching Supervision is a growing international trend and is seen as a key differentiator in the market place. Increasingly, corporate clients are requiring Supervision as part of their hiring criteria and quality assurance process.
Who should apply?
The GCSP is free for qualified members of ATD NYC and is open to both internal and external executive coaches who have an active coaching practice. The GCSP aimed at those with less direct coaching experience. Please see above for further details. The Supervision sessions will initially be held monthly for 6 months. While we appreciate that sometimes unexpected events arise, participants are expected to commit to attend all sessions.
How can I apply?
If you are interested, please click here to apply. Angela Wright will be reviewing each application and ensuring that we have the right mix of experience and diversity to create the most valuable experience for all participants.
